Conventions
The masthead is normally 1/4 of the page and use the colours red, blue,black or white. The colours normally used for the magazine is black, white , blues and reds. The cover stories have a range of features ,

The cover photo usually takes the full page, its normally of individuals and has traditional genre representations. The image is normally shot in a studio, interiors or buildings.Instruments are normally used as props. The star is usually dressed in suits dresses and hats.
The fonts that are normally used are sans serif and handwriting fonts to add a sophisticated image to the magazine. Sometimes italics and Thin fonts are also used. The layout of the texts are dense text for DPS and boxes are sometimes used.
Puffs are rare and pugs are used for thing like the price, date, issue at the top
The barcode is usually the bottom right and banners are rare however are sometimes used on the contents page .
